Missing mom found reading Bible in Dana Point park

DANA POINT – A San Clemente mother who was missing for about six weeks was found this morning safe and healthy, authorities said, reading a Bible underneath a park tree.Heather Lynn Gould, 30, went missing on Oct. 15, when she was last seen by her fiance, Jeremy Smits, and their two young children. Authorities were looking into her disappearance. She left behind her purse, car keys and identification.

For Stephanie Hoffmeier, it came down to believing in a power higher than a school system.
With prayer, persistence and a lawsuit against the Stafford County schools, the 16-year-old recently succeeded in starting what might be the region’s only antiabortion club in a public high school. The Pro-Life Club, which attracted about 20 people to its first gathering, also promotes teen sexual abstinence as well as opposing abortion. Hoffmeier said her legal fight was a matter of equity.

Middle school cancels “gender-switch” day after parents object
.- A Bay Area Middle School has canceled a scheduled cross-dressing or “gender-switch” day after parents complained, according to an Oct. 30 Pacific Justice Institute news release. The Sacramento-based institute is a legal organization that defends parental rights, religious freedom, and other civil liberties.Adams Middle School in Brentwood encouraged students to cross-dress – boys wearing girls clothing, girls wearing boys’ clothing – on the last day of “Spirit Week,” Friday, Nov. 2. Parents were given little notice of the event, said the Pacific Justice Institute, and only found out about it after flyers were posted at the school.

GSA network board member resigns amid pornography allegations
Peter Robertson resigned from the board of GSA Network, California’s largest organizer of school clubs that support gay teens, when it was discovered that he is also a pornographer. It appears he recruited young subjects during his tenure.
Mike Ensley was 17 and living in the gay lifestyle when Robertson asked him to pose nude.
